Kathy Griffin Quits “Fashion Police”

What the helllllllllllll is going on over at E!??? First Kelly Osbourne quits — now Kathy Griffin is chunking deuces to the show.

According to Page Six reports:

The ‘Fashion Police‘ team continues to dwindle as E! confirms that another co-host is leaving the show.

“We can confirm that Kathy Griffin is leaving E!’s ‘Fashion Police,’” the network said in a statement on Thursday night. “We wish her all the best and are grateful for her time on the show, as well as the many laughs that she gave us all.”

The news of Griffin’s departure comes just two weeks after her co-host Kelly Osbourne decided to leave the show following offensive comments from Giuliana Rancic, saying that 18-year-old Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks look “like she smells like patchouli oil” or “weed.”
The comedian, 54, released a statement on Twitter:

Earlier this week Griffin spoke out about Rancic’s controversial comments, telling the Chicago Sun-Times’ Splash Magazine she “wouldn’t have said the joke in the first place.”

“Don’t have anyone write you jokes or even suggest jokes for you on ‘Fashion Police,’” Griffin said in regards to Rancic. “You have enough great insider gossip from actually being on the red carpet. That’s what fans want to hear the next day. Just talk and be yourself.”

In regards to Osbourne, 30, leaving the show, Griffin responded, “Sometimes she seemed very upset at the merely seven tapings of ‘Fashion Police’ we did together.”

Griffin joined the show in January, replacing the late Joan Rivers who passed away in September.

E! said that “Fashion Police” will return, as scheduled, on March 30. There is no word on who will be replacing Osbourne and Griffin.

Sounds like Giuliana is not much fun to work with. Is anyone surprised — especially now that she’s been exposed for being an ignoramus?

Did you enjoy watching Kathy Griffin or did you think it was a poor fit?
