Temple University Football Star Arrested For Sex Trafficking

What do you do after becoming one of the biggest football stars at a prestigious university?? Get involved in sex trafficking of minors apparently….

Via Baltimore Sun reports:

Matthew Warren Brown, 25, of Baltimore — a former Temple University running back and son of defense attorney Warren Brown — and Anthony Leon Eley Jr., 30, of Milford Mill face multiple charges related to prostitution and human trafficking. Authorities allege they brought three girls — ages, 14, 16 and 17 — to a Woodlawn hotel for prostitution.

According to documents filed in Maryland District Court in Towson, members of the Baltimore County police vice unit set up a sting operation Tuesday at the Best Western Hotel on Belmont Avenue in Woodlawn. An undercover detective checked under the escorts section and arranged to meet someone, who said she was 23, at the hotel that evening.

Three girls showed up in the hotel room, according to the court documents. They came to the hotel in a silver Mercedes-Benz driven by Brown, the documents allege. Eley also was in the car.

According to the court documents, Brown told police he met the three girls on North Avenue in East Baltimore and drove them to a hotel whose name he couldn’t remember. He then drove them to the Best Western. He told police he didn’t know the girls were engaged in prostitution or that they were underage.

The three girls were interviewed by members of the FBI Child Sexual Exploitation Task Force, according to the documents. Cpl. John Wachter, a spokesman for the county Police Department, said they face no charges and have been referred to social services.

Eley also was charged this month with assaulting a police officer and second-degree burglary after he was accused of smashing the glass in a front door of a Catonsville business and forcing it open, police said.

Hope Brown’s dad is a great defense attorney because he’s going to jail today!!!!
