Robert Graves Played Dad For Years Before Jay-Z Paternity Suit

This is the man who helped raise the 21-year-old now suing Jay-Z over paternity.

Rymir Satterthwaite’s early years were shaped by Robert Zaire Graves, who was in a relationship with his mother, Wanda, and is believed to be the father of Satterthwaite’s younger brother, Zaire.

It’s not clear if Wanda Satterthwaite and Graves were actually married. There are no records of the pair’s nuptials.

Zaire is named for Graves, and Zaire has his last name, a source with knowledge of the situation told Bossip. Satterthwaite also used Graves last name on address listings in Harrisburg, South Jersey and Philadelphia.

BOSSIP’s exclusive photo shows the family in happier times: mom Wanda grins as she clutches Rymir, then a toddler, on her lap, while her beau, Graves, wraps one arm around her and holds their baby boy, Zaire, in the other.

Graves lives in Philadelphia, where Rymir was born, though its not clear if the two still have a relationship.

Bossip was unable to reach Graves for comment. Neither Satterthwaite, nor his foster mother, Lillie Coley, who filed the suit against Jay-Z on his behalf, returned Bossip’s requests for comment.

Meanwhile, Satterthwaite hinted yesterday that his lawsuit was not so much about Jay-Z’s alleged paternity, but more about a scheme to stop the test from happening.

“Read the document it says nothing about paternity test but allege fraud that blocked it,” Satterthwaite tweeted March 29.

“No body paid 18 years of anything dont (sic) worry the truth will shattered lies and fabrication. Letting God do it in his time and sequence,” Satterthwaite added in a follow up tweet.
