According to a new study, millennial women are having babies at the slowest rate of any generation in U.S. history… Between 2007 and 2012, birth rates among American women in their 20s dropped by 15 percent. Financial challenges drive “young women who aren’t worried about the biological clock to say, ‘Things are tough right now. Let me put this off because I can,’” co-author Nan Astone, senior fellow at the Urban Institute tells The Washington Post.

The publication just released the image from this week’s cover… According to the TIME, the image was taken by native West Baltimore resident, 26-year-old Devin Allen. Up until last week, Allen only dreamed of becoming a professional photographer. But when the Baltimore Uprising emerged, he got out there and started documenting for his personal Instagram page. The images captured the attention of Rihanna, the BBC, CNN and thousands more on Instagram and Twitter.

Fox 5 DC spoke with Wale as he entered Frederick Douglass High School with Rev. Jamal Bryant. “Regardless of what’s happened out here, these are the young leaders of tomorrow and they have to look in the mirror and see something better than what they’re being perceived as on TV,” Wale said. “We need each other. We need our community leaders to come step forward and we need these kids to understand that somebody believes in them…”
