Once again, Whites represent everybody while Black folks are just background noise. What I mean is that within this new Pew Study on the downfall of Christianity in American society, which every mainstream publication is talking about, our opinions get overlooked. According to the study, entitled “America’s Changing Religious Landscape,” about a quarter of the 85 percent of American adults who were raised Christian no longer identify with Christianity. Most of the mainstream media outlets suggest that this drop has is felt across all racial and ethnic groups. However, when you look closely at the numbers, this decrease in Blacks who identify as Christians is relatively small.
GoPro Founder Pays $229M To Keep A College Promise
A decade-old promise cost the CEO of GoPro $229 million. Billionaire Nick Woodman spent the small fortune to fulfill a vow he made to his college roommate. Woodman returned 4.7 million shares to GoPro, a camera maker, on May 11, according to a regulatory filing. Back in 2011 he had agreed to repay the company for stock options it granted to Neil Dana, who attended the University of California at San Diego with Woodman. Dana was GoPro employee No. 1.
Toronto Raptors Getting Drake Alternate Uniforms Next Season
No NBA brand ambassador has as much pull (or popularity) than Drake does for his hometown Toronto Raptors. While the team is a few pieces of away from being a serious contender, they’re still planning on taking advantage of their famous co-sign in the interim. ESPN is reporting that the team will don Drake alternate uniforms inspired by the music superstar’s OVO colors. As had been expected, five teams will be getting makeovers for next season: the 76ers, Bucks, Clippers, Hawks and Raptors.
