Tuskegee has come in No. 1 when it comes to Historically Black Colleges & Universities for 2015, according to College Choice‘s annual ranking on HBCUs. College Choice is an independent website that ranks and reviews colleges and universities. Needless to say Tuskegee, one of 25 HBCUs in the U.S., was happy to be at the top. “…It is an affirmation of both Tuskegee’s great tradition and its great trajectory,” said Dr. Brian L. Johnson, Tuskegee University president. The school is also a National Historic Landmark, making it the only school in the United States to hold this distinction.

And consumers are catching on, with one-third of consumers tracked by Citi Retail Services saying they’ve given up shopping exclusively at outlets because they saved more money at regular retail shops. “If mainline stores are undercutting their bargain-basement cousins, it is a telling indicator of how reliant on discounts American retailers have become,” says the Journal. “It also could cast a shadow over the growth of outlets, which has been one of the few bright spots in retail as the U.S. economy claws its way back from the recession.”
Google Maps Apologizes For “Ni**a House” Hack
Google Maps’ crowd-sourced map making tool went horrible wrong, unless you’re a racist bastard, when typing in “ni**a house” led to The White House—ya know, where President Barack Obama and his family live. Google Maps has apologized for the snafu and is in damage control mode. Reports Raw Story: “Some inappropriate results are surfacing in Google Maps that should not be, and we apologize for any offense this may have caused,” the California-based Internet titan said in a released statement. “Our teams are working to fix this issue quickly.”
