Mrs. West Reveals Pregnancy Plans To BOSSIP
NASHVILLE – Kim Kardashian-West said there’s no strategy to dealing with bad press when you’re in the public eye, but the key is not to let it get you down.
Fresh off this week’s news that her stepfather, Bruce Jenner, revealed his female alter-ego, Caitlyn, on the cover of Vanity Fair, and announcing she and hubby Kanye West were expecting their second child, Kardashian-West told BOSSIP that she’s not paying attention to media critics who tried to steal her joy during her first pregnancy.
Kardashian-West got a shellacking in the press for her maternity style (Met Gala, anyone?) and weight gain during her first pregnancy with daughter North, who is almost two.
“It’s kind of what you get yourself into when you live your life on a reality show, so I understand,” the star told BOSSIP Tuesday at the launch of the Hype Energy drink in Nashville, Tenn. “Everyone has an opinion. I really don’t give a f**k what anyone says this time around.”
Kardashian-West’s appearance at the Hype Energy drink launch in downtown Nashville sent the thousands-strong crowd into a frenzy. At one point, the crowd chanted “We want Kim! We want Kim!” as the beverage’s brand ambassador posed for selfies and spoke to the throngs of press at the event.
Kardashian-West showed the slightest hint of a baby bump in a pale pink latex dress that clung to her every curve. Clear perspex heels, slicked back hair, nude makeup and her huge diamond sparkler on her wedding finger finished off her sexy, polished look.
Kardashian-West, who gained 50 pounds while pregnant with North, told BOSSIP that she’s planning for a more healthy pregnancy with her second bun in the oven.
“The last time, I would eat a donut every single day,” Kardashian-West said. “This time, I have a nutritionist. I’m trying not to eat as badly as I did last time. But I also had a condition, preeclampsia. I gained a lot of water weight and (had) swelling. So hopefully, this time around, I won’t get that. I’m doing what I can to make sure I don’t get that again.”
After failed fertility treatments and struggling to conceive, the mom of one said she was just thrilled to be expecting again.
“At the end of the day, I don’t think I’m going to be able to do this again, so I’m trying to live in the moment and enjoy the pregnancy, and try to just roll with it,” she told BOSSIP. “I’m going to get bigger, that’s OK. Figure out how to dress, it’s all OK.”
