Show Creator Moetivation, Who Stars As Rafe On Money And Violence, Announced Online Fundraiser For Second Season
The creator of Money and Violence, the hit YouTube show chronicling Brooklyn street life, is reaching out to fans for help.
Show creator Moetiviation, who also plays main character Rafe, urged fans to donate to the show’s online fundraiser to support filming Money and Violence’s second season.
“Hopefully we’re successful with that so we can begin to shoot season two,” Moetivation told BOSSIP backstage at Summer Jam June 7. “Right now, we’re doing the crowd funding campaign, so hopefully, once that’s done, if it’s successful, then we’ll have more of a shorter timeline (for season two’s completion).
“As far as when it will be released, we’re hoping by the end of the summer, but it’s still up in the air.”
As of Tuesday, the site raised more than $17,000 towards its $250,000 goal.
Money and Violence’s season finale ended with Rafe – who robs drug dealers – getting shot. Does he make it to the next season? “Now we both know I can’t answer that question!” Moetivation said.
Moe said raising the money for Money and Violence’s production would help keep the show independent.
“We want to really keep the creative control, and we really don’t want the show to lose its essence,” he said.
