Is Gucci Mane Schizophrenic?

Jacob York was the latest guest on Bossip’s Don’t Be Scared podcast this week and he had some very interesting information to let loose. Not only did he break the news that Biggie recorded a Wu-Tang diss record that was never released, but he talked about how he discovered Gucci Mane and put him on. However, he went on to speak on the complications of working with Gucci, including his alleged diagnosis of schizophrenia:

People don’t understand that he is schizophrenic, so if he’s not on his pills, then you get the crazy tweets and all. And what people don’t understand is that’s a true medical illness. That’s not like the guy is a bad guy. But as long as he’s on his pills he can A&R the best records and rap the best raps. He’s not dumb, he actually excelled in school….He’s very educated but he has an illness.

Very interesting tidbit of information. That explains a lot about Gucci and his Twitter rants and ice cream tattoos. Fascinating…
