Disney Cancels Layoffs, Tells Workers To Pretend Nothing Ever Happened

In May, 35 technology employees at Disney/ABC Television in New York and Burbank, CA were told they would be laid off. Adding insult to injury, the employees were also told they would have to train immigrants to do their jobs… Employees reported the immigrants suddenly stopped reporting to their sessions. Then on June 11, managers in both offices told the Disney employees their layoffs were canceled. During the meeting, employees were read a statement noting their jobs were continuing and they should behave as though nothing happened until further notice… the Justice Department plans to examine the H-1B visa program and the Labor Department will inspect outsourcing companies who bring immigrants to do work.

If you’ve been following the news coverage of the Charleston, South Carolina shooting, you might have seen the remarks from South Carolina governor Nikki Haley…“We woke up today and the heart and soul of South Carolina was broken,”… While some applauded Haley for her sensitivity, others swiftly questioned or completely disregarded her as inauthentic….Last October, when her challenger called for the removal of the flag, Haley said, rather contradictorily, that though the Confederate Flag was a sensitive issue, she felt it was a problem of the past. Particularly because CEOs who were recruiting jobs in the state, had not mentioned it.


Fetty Wap To Angie Martinez: “I Don’t Call My Music Hip-Hop”

Fetty Wap just made his debut appearance on the Angie Martinez Show, where he discussed everything from his new found fame to his vision impairment. When the “Trap Queen” hit-maker was asked about the key ingredient behind his consecutive hits, he gave an off-the-cuff response pertaining to genre. “I just make music that I think people would like to hear,” he said to Martinez. “I don’t necessarily call my music Hip-Hop, I just call it Fetty Wap music. I’m a melody person. I make melodies and add flavor to it.”
The 24-year-old spitter also shared his thoughts on the Illuminati, love for Southern rap, going on tour with Chris Brown and more.
