T-Pain: “Dolla and I Were Good Friends”

- By Bossip Staff

T-Pain and the recently slain rapper Dolla were good friends. They had gotten their friendship back on track right before he was gunned down in LA. Pop the hood for more

Dolla was a rapper on the rise, with a Show & Prove feature in XXL under his belt and an MTV Jams hit in “Who the F— Is That,” featuring T-Pain.

T-Pain, a fellow Akon signee, collaborated with Dolla — who was signed to Jive Records and working on his debut, Dolla & A Dream — and expressed remorse over his fallen friend.

“Man,” T-Pain sighed to MTV News. “It happens every day. It don’t take nothing but time before it happens to someone you know. We had problems when I first got signed. [But] then we worked it out, and after that we was the best of friends. … It kind of sucks. And we just got our friendship straightened out, then all of this had to happen.”

It goes to show that life can change in the blink of an eye.

On a lighter note, Lil T-Pain made his debut into the world. Kaydnz Kodah Najm is the third child and second boy of T-Pain and his wife. Thank God his little boy takes after his wife.
