Lastonia Leviston Says 50 Cent Filed Bankruptcy To Avoid Paying Up In Sex Tape Trial; Wants Judge To Force 50 To Pay Despite Bankruptcy

50 Cent’s bankruptcy is yet another dirty legal trick by the rapper to avoid being slapped with millions more on top of the $5 million judgment already awarded to Rick Ross’ baby mama.

That’s according to Rick Ross’ baby mama, who has headed to federal court pleading with the bankruptcy judge to allow the trial over an unauthorized sex tape to continue.

Last week a jury awarded Lastonia Leviston $5 million after she sued 50, real name Curtus Jackson, accusing him of leaking a sex tape featuring her online. She claimed the rapper posted the video in an attempt to embarrass Rick Ross along with it being a PR stunt for himself.

The New York Supreme Court jury found 50 Cent liable for $2.5 million in damages for using her likeness without consent and $2.5 million for intentional infliction of emotional distress. The jury was scheduled to determine punitive damages – which could be millions more for Rick Ross’ baby mama – on Monday.

However, the rapper filed for bankruptcy, which put a stay on the New York court proceedings, meaning the jury could not proceed with determining punitive damages in the case.

According to docs filed by Leviston in 50’s bankruptcy, she says that the judge in the sex tape lawsuit became frustrated on Monday morning when he heard the rapper filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The judge told Leviston that he will give her till Monday to get the bankruptcy judge to give her the green light to continue on with the trial, and he will hold the jury until then.

Leviston says that the rapper has tired every dirty legal trick to prevent the sex tape trial from happening — and he has been shut down with every attempt. She is pleading with the bankruptcy judge to not allow 50 Cent to be allowed to win with this trick and allow the jury to determine the punitive damages on Monday, which could be many more millions for her.

The bankruptcy judge heard her plea and has set a hearing for Friday to make a decision on whether 50 Cent will have to face the music in the sex tape trial next week.
