Tamar Braxton Blasted For Rihanna Comments
Tamar Braxton is currently catching shade from Rihanna’s Navy for comments she made about the singer’s Grammys win for her “Unapologetic” album.
At the 2014 Grammys Rihanna took home Best Urban Contemporary Album for the project, successfully beating out Tamar’s “Love & War.” And according to Tamar who spoke with Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez, she had an “issue” with it because Rihanna is a pop star.
“She doesn’t sing R&B music. She’s a pop star. I had an issue with that a little bit. I love her [though]. Glad she won.”
And when asked what she considers R&B music Tamar added,
“It’s called Rhythm and Blues. Ribs and Barbecue. It’s not pop pop pop tat uh tat tat tat. It’s soulful. That’s R&B. Every song of hers I’ve gotten my complete and utter life to… twerking. I’m just saying. I love her; I’m one of her biggest fans period, but that’s not R&B music.”
Wellllllll, she’s NOT lying.
Rihanna’s Navy of course was none too pleased by Tamar’s comments and they’re currently going IN on the singer via social media.
Poor thang.
