Don Cheadle’s Miles Davis Biopic

Don Cheadle’s Miles Davis biopic is finally coming to light. The “House Of Lies” star’s “Miles Ahead” movie has been announced as the closer for the 2015 New York Film Festival.

EW reports:

Don Cheadle’s directorial debut, Miles Ahead, a look at the life of jazz legend Miles Davis will debut as the closing film of this year’s NYFF, which runs from Sept. 25-Oct. 11.

“I am happy that the selection committee saw fit to invite us to the dance,” Cheadle said in a statement. “It’s very gratifying that all the hard work that went into the making of this film, from every person on the team, has brought us here. Miles’ music is all-encompassing, forward-leaning, and expansive. He changed the game time after time, and New York is really where it all took off for him. Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center… feels very ‘right place, right time.’ Very exciting.”

Miles Ahead also stars Ewan McGregor and Emayatzy Corinealdi.

The festival previously announced Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as the festival opener.

Aren’t you glad to see this highly anticipated movie come to light???
