The Rock Says He’s “Disappointed” In Hulk Hogan

Many are speaking out on Hulk Hogan after news broke that he has an affinity for the n-word and a disdain for Black people. So what does one of his most famous wrestling co-stars have to say?

Via E!online:

Many have already weighed in on the recent Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) scandal, where he was apparently recorded making racist remarks several years ago, but now it’s Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s turn.

The Ballers star called into the 2015 TCA Summer press tour from his private gym in Florida via satellite and explained how he reacted to the news surrounding the now-former WWE star.

“I was pretty disappointed with what I heard, like all of us, by the way. I was disappointed in him. I have known Terry for a lot of years. My dad helped trained him in Florida in the ’70s when he was breaking into the business. I come from a very long lineage of professional wrestlers,” he explained.

“I had not known the man to be racist. It’s funny, it’s one of those things where, and not justifying what he said, but we’ve all talked trash, especially in private. He said what he said and he’s paying the price.”

Hmmm, pretty diplomatic answer. Glad he didn’t toss his cape on for this racist homophobe the minute he was asked.
