Bossip sat down and chatted Kim Kimble and Gocha of “L.A. Hair”. During our chat, the two celebrity stylist let us in on how they got into the business and drama in the hair salon! Get the deets in the interview below and be sure to tune in to tonight’s episode at 10 PM on WETV.
How did you get started in this business
K. Kimble: When I started seeing the transformations and how people felt after they got their hair done – that’s where my slogan, “Great hair equals confidence” comes from – watching them exude that confidence made me fall in love with hair. And soon sexy, bedroom hair became what I was known for. That whole Beyonce’ Crazy In Love’ toussled hair.
Gocha: I was taking a turn for the wrong path and once I got back on track, I wanted to make some money. So I went to hair school and developed a passion for it.
Here is an exclusive clip from tonight’s episode. We went on to ask them how it felt to now be in front of the camera
Kimble: It is weird! I’ve always been a behind the camera person. But the opportunity came to me and I didn’t think it was going to actually happen. I just wasn’t expecting it to happen as fast as it did and I wasn’t looking to do a show about my salon but when the opportunity came I jumped on it.
Gocha: My friends have always said I was made for TV but I never thought about it. But when it came to me I was more than happy to be apart of a great show.
