Taylor Swift Slams Claims Of Cocaine Use
A snippet of MTV’s raw backstage feed from Sunday’s Video Music Awards is causing a stir, as some think it shows America’s lily-white sweetheart Taylor Swift enjoying a little nose candy during one of the show’s breaks. You can watch the vid via Gawker HERE.
In the video, Taylor walks through a hall backstage at the VMA’s surrounded by assistants and production staffers, when someone hands her something. As she brings it to her nose, those around her form a protective block from the live feed cameras and an audible sniff can be heard, before Taylor’s done attending to her situation and walks away.
Of course, the video — initially titled “Taylor Swift Doing Coke?” on YouTube, was snatched down by Viacom after it gained about 7,000 views…due to “copyright issues,” naturally.
According to both Gawker and Daily Mail, Taylor Swift’s publicist emphatically denies that Taylor was at all in love with the CoCo that night. She insists the singer was ONLY blowing her nose and very understandably didn’t want to do that on camera — and definitely plans to sue if anyone implies otherwise.
Interesting how mix-ups like that can happen, riiiiiiiiight?? Taylor should really try to find a camera-free area to blow her nose in next time so no one comes to that incorrect conclusion ever again…
