Moniece Is Juggling Motherhood, Her Singing Career And Boyfriend Rich Dollaz
Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’s Moniece Slaughter said she’s surprised by all the fuss around her long distance relationship with fellow reality star Rich Dollaz.
“I don’t know why everybody is so shocked,” Slaughter told BOSSIP. “We’ve been together for a while now.”
The mother of one has been in a serious relationship with Dollaz, real name Richard Trowers, since the beginning of the year after meeting him on Twitter. Slaughter is clearly smitten, calling the Creep Squad member “the person I want to spend the rest of my life with.”
“It makes me feel good to know I inspire him to leave the thotties in the past and consider a future,” Slaughter added. “We’re in a good place.”
Slaughter said she’s even thinking about giving Cameron, her son with Lil’ Fizz, a little brother or sister.
“I’ve said no more kids after Cameron,” she said. “Rich has made me reconsider that.”
Slaughter – who just shot her music video for her single, “Riches,” – said she’s not put off by Dollaz’s warrant for not paying some $150,000 in back child support. She said he told her all about it, and he’s doing his best to make things right.
“He’s definitely not a deadbeat,” Slaughter said. “I watch him in action with his other kids.”
“He definitely realizes in situations like this, the child is the most important one who suffers.”
In the meantime, Slaughter said she’s just trying to be there for Dollaz as he deals with the child support drama.
“It’s really unfair,” she said. “I do my best to support him and be that pillar he can lean on.”
She said the pair met via social media after he retweeted one of her messages. They exchanged phone numbers and began chatting. When Slaughter had a hosting gig in Boston, Dollaz met her there, helping her get ready and making sure everything was perfect.
“He was really attentive,” she recalled, “I like a man’s man and he was very much that. We’ve been inseparable.”
Slaughter said she spent this season of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood tending to her priorities: her relationship, being a parent and her work as a performer — and it wasn’t easy. But she said she’s taking it one day at a time, and she and Dollaz are now thinking about their future together.
“He’s been bicoastal for the entire season and we’re trying to figure out how to move forward,” she said. “We know Rich is king of the Creep Squad, (so) purging his house of the super thots lingering around was tough,” Slaughter continued. “I tried to be as patient and understanding as possible. The more we progress as a couple, the easier it got.”
