Man Tries To Abduct 10-Month-Old Baby At Georgia McDonalds

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, a 19-year-old woman said her family went to dine at the McDonald’s located at 6165 McDonough Drive on Wednesday around 10:45 a.m. She said a man sat at a table close to where her family was sitting. After they left the restaurant, the woman buckled her child into a car seat. As she walked to the front seat of the vehicle, the suspect opened the door of the car and began pull the baby out of the car seat.
Another family member tried to stop the abduction and was bit by the suspect, police said. The child’s mother then began hitting the suspect from inside the vehicle while holding the child down. The mother bit the suspect on the arm, grabbed her baby and ran back into the restaurant, police said.
Witnesses said the suspect fled to a nearby hotel. They were able to give police a description of the suspect. Officer arrested 19-year-old Sterlyn Reynolds at the Horizon Inn Suites.
Reynolds is charged with kidnapping and cruelty to children in the first-degree, and transported to Gwinnett County Jail.
The baby suffered minor injuries to her arms and neck, police said.
