Woman Arrested For Making Children Live In Underground Cave
A Kansas City woman was recently arrested after authorities say she was abusing her children by forcing them to live in squalor.
According to KMBC 24-year-old Brittany Mugrauer is facing child endangerment charges after her two children were found living in a wooden crate in underground caves.
Police report that the children, ages 4 and 6, were dirty and barefoot and living in a 10′ x 8′ wooden crate with car seats and blankets.
The children told authorities that they lived in the car with their mother and one child, the 4-year-old, was seen eating dry ramen noodles with dirt in it.
The children have since been taken to a hospital for an evaluation while Brittany’s bail is $75,000.
