37 Pi Delta Psi Fraternity Members Facing Hazing Charges

37 fraternity members are facing hazing charges after a pledge died while aspiring to join their organization.

According to USA Today, Chun “Michael” Deng was killed during his freshman year at Baruch College in 2013 when prosecutors say he was extensively hazed.

A grand jury report states that fraternity members blindfolded Dang and made him wear a heavy backpack while they tackled him during a hazing ritual known as “glass ceiling.”

Deng then fell to the ground unconscious, and was brought inside near a fire where fraternity members called their national President Andy Meng.

Meng then instructed them to hide all fraternity materials and Deng was taken to the hospital where he died a day later of “multiple traumatic injuries.”

President Meng has since been charged with counts of hazing, conspiracy and hindering apprehension although he previously released a statement condemning the chapter.

SMH…wow, so they basically beat the boy to death???
