Cutting labor costs is part of doing business. But did you know that some of these companies used low-priced prison labor to make some of their products? The McDonald’s corporation has often been criticized for using prison labor to make its employee uniforms and even some of it’s frozen foods. Starbucks also uses prison labor to make their coffee packages, especially during the busy holiday season. Have any vintage Ikea furniture? It may have been made behind bars. Recently, Ikea was forced to apologize for using East German political prisoners to make its furniture in the ’70s and ’80s — and paying them only 4% of the usual wage.

Doctors say that a British teen contracted acute hepatitis and jaundice after consuming green tea to lose weight, Grub Street reports. The unidentified 16-year-old was unable to read the directions on the box because they were in Chinese and drank approximately three cups per day. Doctors are certain that the teen’s consumption of the tea is the culprit for her ailments but believe that the tea itself is not what caused her health complications. In fact, she took her beef with her homosexual naysayers a step further by lashing out on [Twitter] by comparing them to the one of the worst organizations the world has ever witnessed. “LGBT community are like the gay white KKK’s.
