IRS Says Rapper Didn’t Pay Taxes For Six Years
Mystikal better watch himself.
The IRS said the Louisiana rapper owes them six years worth of back taxes – $1.8 million to be exact – and have slapped him with a federal lien, BOSSIP has learned.
Uncle Sam hit Mystikal, real name Michael Tyler, with the $1,837,122 lien earlier this year for income from his career peak—1995 through 2001. He must’ve made a ton of money during that time: his yearly tax bills from 1999 to 2001 totaled more than $100,000 each.
The federal lien means the IRS could seize Mystikal’s Prarieville, La. home.
His career was dealt a blow back in 2003 when the rapper pled guilty to forcing his hair stylist to perform sex acts. He served six years in prison, but has since started recording again.
