1 Dead And 3 Wounded In Campus Shooting At Northern Arizona University

Another day, another mass shooting in America!

Officials say one person is dead and three others are injured following an early morning shooting at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.

The suspected gunman is in custody, and the campus was not on lockdown following the incident. The three victims are currently being treated at Flagstaff Medical Center.

The first police call about the gunfire came in at 1:20 a.m. local time on Friday, according to Cindy Brown, the school’s public relations director. The shooting occurred in a parking lot outside Mountainview Hall dormitory at the northeast side of the Flagstaff campus.

Brown said she doesn’t know what caused the shooting, and she didn’t provide details about the suspect, the extent of the victims’ injuries or if they are students.

NAU plays a major role in the northern Arizona city of Flagstaff. The four-year public university has more than 25,000 total undergraduates.
