Breaking Through: Lamar Odom Making Progress, Breathing With Out Life Support After Drug Overdose
We reported earlier that Lamar Odom was communicating with family at his bed side by squeezing Khloes hand, now doctors say he’s moving in the right direct and almost ready to breathe on his own.
About 48 hours ago, Lamar Odom needed the help of a life support machine to pump his organs with oxygen but, today he was able to breathe again on his own, for a few moments.
TMZ is reporting that Odom is now able to breathe with the help of an oxygen mask, rather than a ventilator.
As a precaution doctors have returned Lamar to his ventilator until he gets much healthier, but they have tested him with an oxygen masked and it worked out fine for a short time. Breathing on his own is a positive sign towards recovery.
This break through comes after the athlete suffered a severe drug overdose in Nevada.
