David Banner Says Black Women And Men Have To Fix Their Relationship

David Banner recently spoke to Essence Magazine about how the Black community can move forward as a whole. The rapper says the solution can only come from inside our own relationships first…

“Black women have told me that they don’t feel protected. Me in my own career, I know I’ve done enough damage myself. So, when I speak I’m not criticizing other men. I hope that Black women support me.”

Banner goes onto say that Black men and Black women have to heal their relationship before any real repair can be done to the Black community…

“A friend of mine told me you know David Banner, I understand that you’re Pan Africanist and want to change the world and you want to start the revolution for the people, but until we mend what was broken in slavery, and that was that relationship between men and women, Black men and women. Until we mold that and mend that back, we’ll never be able to move forward as a whole.

“He was like look at families in America, the Rothschilds, the Bushes, you know the Kennedys, it’s families. Throughout history it was always families. So it’s hard for us to start building that type of momentum, when we don’t have the base. And that’s the love between a man and a woman.”
