Yandy Discusses Mendeecees’ Prison Sentence
Yandy Smith recently sat down with VH1 alongside her husband to dish on his impending jail time and revealed that she was beyond heartbroken when she heard the news.
“See you never want to internalize living alone since you got into a commitment with your best friend, the person you want to wake up to every day of your life for the next sixty years if you’re so blessed to do so. So when I was told that I might possibly have to spend one night without my husband—heartbroken is not even the word for it.”
She also added that she’ll deal with nearly a decade without her spouse through preparation.
“This will be different from the last time Mendeecees went away. This time I can prepare myself. I can prepare my life. We already started to prepare. I think knowing is half the battle for me. The unexpected is what I really couldn’t deal with and where I had a hard time.”
Mendeecees himself also added:
“I never asked to be in the predicament that I’m in, I thought I was doing everything right. I can’t make excuses while I’m here but I learned a lot.”
Doing everything right??? Hmmmm….

Well, son, I'll tell you: Life for me ain't been no crystal stair. It's had tacks in it, And splinters, And boards torn up, And places with no carpet on the floor— Bare. But all the time I'se been a-climbin' on, And reachin' landin's, And turnin' corners, And sometimes goin' in the dark Where there ain't been no light. So, boy, don't you turn back. Don't you set down on the steps. 'Cause you finds it's kinder hard. Don't you fall now— For I'se still goin', Boy, I'se still climbin', And life for me ain't been no crystal stair. ~Langston Hughes
