Modo Starts #BeardGangVsCancer Project To Spur Donations & Awareness

One rapper is using facial hair in the fight against cancer.

Modo 495 just released his song, “Beard Gang” as an ode to five-o-clock shadows and to raise money about cancer. The Long Island, NY rapper said he wanted to release a song during “No Shave November” – where men stop shaving for cancer awareness – but didn’t want a fundraiser that only lasted a month.

Instead, he started the #BeardGangVsCancer project, releasing the “Beard Gang” single and starting a Crowd Rise page where fans can donate. The rapper hopes to raise $5,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

“I chose St. Jude because although every type of cancer is horrible, it is always hard to see very young children who haven’t gotten a chance to live yet, have to battle cancer,” the big hearted rapper said.
