Nicki Minaj Speaks On Sandra Bland Ruling

Nicki Minaj recently had some choice words after a grand jury ruled this week in the death of Sandra Bland.

According to Billboard reports the rapper believes it was a tragic case of injustice like everyone else…

Protesters — both online and off — cried for justice after a grand jury ruled Monday that there would be no indictment in the jail death of Sandra Bland, the 28-year-old black woman who died in a Texas county jail while incarcerated after being stopped for a minor traffic violation last summer.

Rapper Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to speak her piece on Tuesday (Dec. 22), writing under a screenshot of a USA Today report, “This woman didn’t kill herself. Smh.”

The Billboard cover star recently spoke about how Bland’s case resonated with her. “I did research on the Sandra Bland case,” she said. “That’s why it hit me so hard. I remember speaking to other women at the time. This could have been me. I’m a sassy woman. I may have given a little bit of attitude to a police officer. I could have never come home.”

According to the Associated Press, prosecutor Darrell Jordan said that the grand jury will reconvene in January to consider whether the white male trooper who arrested Bland should face charges.
