KKK Leaflets Left In Long Island On Christmas

Well this isn’t very merry… Police in Long Island are looking into the source of some racist fliers left on cars parked at the hospital Christmas morning.

According to NY Daily News reports:

Hate crimes detectives are investigating the appearance of fliers promoting the Ku Klux Klan left on cars parked at a Long Island hospital and apartment complex.

Suffolk County police say they were called around 1 a.m. Friday that leaflets were plastered on cars parked at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in Patchogue. A hospital spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment Friday night.

Police say the pamphlets were also left on cars at a nearby apartment complex.

A police spokesman said detectives from the police department’s hate crimes unit are probing the incident, though it does not appear to be a criminal act. Police launched a similar investigation in September 2014 after KKK fliers were found in the Suffolk County communities of West Babylon and Shirley.

This is so messed up. It’s bad enough having to spend Christmas at a hospital without having to worry about being targeted by the Klan.
