The family moment is a far cry from earlier this month, when a judge sentenced him to eight years in prison for his role in a drug trafficking ring.
Although the judge sentenced him, Mendeecees has not begun serving his time yet, and will report to prison once the U.S. Marshals notify him of the exact date. A spokesman for the Marshals said he wasn’t authorized to share Mendeecees’ incarceration date publicly.
As part of a plea deal, Mendeecees had to forfeit $170,000 and two luxury cars, as well as complete substance abuse rehab while he’s locked up.
Mendeecees wasn’t in custody as of Dec. 28, but has been registered with the Bureau of Prisons, according to the department.
We hope Mendeecees at least gets to ring in the New Year with his family before he’s locked up for good.
