Police Believe Teen Hatched Murder Plot Against Mother And Her Boyfriend
This story is so insane, but doesn’t seem too different from that couple who left the girl’s mother in a suitcase out in Bali.
A Brooklyn girl named Destiny Garcia has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon after allegedly killing her mom Rosie Sanchez, 38, and mom’s boyfriend Anderson Nunez, 40 on December 26.
Details hit the media on Monday after the girl confessed, but the police are already calling her story suspicious after she first claimed she was raped by her mother’s boyfriend and her mother wouldn’t help her and then changed her story to claim her mother was being her and mother’s boyfriend wouldn’t help.
“We don’t think at all this was an act of self-defense,’’ said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce told the NY Post “What she said was basically the mother was physically abusive to her in the past . . . She went and got a gun.”
The Post is also reporting that Destiny had help and that days before the grisly murders the teen called a 15-year-old male friend upstate and convinced him she was being raped by Nuñez. He was convinced enough to leave boarding school and bring Destiny a gun, and is believed to have also taken part in the attack which involved both victims being shot and stabbed.
The other teen suspect in the case is still at large.
The NY Daily News included details from the medical examiner who said Garcia’s mom died of a gunshot wound to the head and a stab wound in the chest while Nunez was stabbed in the head, neck and torso.
The bodies were found after several concerned relatives and friends contacted police after not hearing from the couple for days. Garcia was found at her father Roldolfo Richardson’s home in Brooklyn. She is believed to have fled there by car after the murders. She told him she and her mother had not been getting along. Relatives say Garcia went shopping and partied in Time Square in the days leading up to her arrest.
WOW. Is that cold blooded or what?
