Family Had To Sue To Get Graphic Footage Released Showing Chicago Police Gun Down 17-Yr-Old Cedrick Chatman [Video]
SMH @ The police fighting the family for this footage… Scando!
It’s been over three years since Chicago police shot 17-year-old Cedrick Chatman. But until Wednesday they refused to release footage taken from surveillance cameras at the scene. Cedrick’s family had to sue the city and the officers involved, Kevin Fry and Lou Toth to get the footage released. A federal judge ordered the videos released on Thursday. This video release follows another court-ordered video release in November 2015. The November video was from the 2014 Chicago Police shooting of another black teenager. Protestors have been calling for Rahm Emanuel’s resignation since the first video’s release.
