ESPN Graphics Producer Ted Brown Dead At 36

This weekend ESPN suffered a major loss when 36-year-old graphics producer Ted Brown was unable to be revived after being hit with a heart attack while covering the Australian Open in Melbourne. Broadcaster Chris Fowler delivered a moving speech dedicated to his colleague, who was described by coworkers as “a complete professional” and an excellent karaoke singer:

“You’ve seen and appreciated Ted’s work even if you didn’t realize it,” Fowler added. “When confronted with something like this, Ted would have tried to get on with his job the best way he could and that’s what we will do.”

Brown is survived by his wife Erin and two-year-old son Henry who live in Connecticut.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
