- By Bossip Staff

Albany police are investigating an assault on three black women, who attend UAlbany, on a bus off campus.

According to the letter, the attack began with a verbal exchange when the Route 11 CDTA bus was off campus, and turned physical once the bus had driven onto UAlbany’s main campus. UAlbany Police and the Albany Police Department are working together on the investigation, and video from the bus is being used to identify those involved, including potential witnesses. They are asking anyone with information to contact them by phone or email. The letter also asks for patience during what may be a lengthy investigation. “We ask for your support both in bring forward any information you have,” Writes Chief Wiley, “and by giving us the time we need to talk with all those involved.” Additionally, the letter says that although there is no evidence of a continuing threat, additional UAlbany Police personnel is being assigned to monitor campus safety.
