Honda’s Battle of the Bands Thrills Sold-Out Audience

The 14th annual Honda Battle of the Bands was a spectacular display of HBCU band excellence that featured infectious school pride, a rousing performance by Atlanta’s own Ludacris and eye-popping performances from the greatest bands in the land that cemented Honda’s winter extravaganza as a can’t-miss event.

Bethune Cookman University, Jackson St., South Carolina St., Tennessee St., Lincoln University, Alabama A&M, Alcorn St. and Prairie A&M–the ELITE 8–showed out and shut down the Georgia Dome with phenomenal showcases and surprise performances from Musiq and Rico Barrino (“California”).

    The star of upcoming Jesse Owens biopic Race Stephan James took a break from promoting his exciting new film to kick it with V103’s Ryan Cameron and Luda.


    Honda donated over $200,000 in grants to participating universities and colleges while also celebrating South Carolina State alumna and 2016 Honda Power of Dreams Award winner for service in the HBCU community.
