Judge Gives 20-Minute Speech During Police Brutality Sentencing
William Melendez was sentenced up to ten years in prison for his role in the senseless beating of Floyd Dent during a routine traffic stop last January. Dent was reportedly hit 16 times and strangled until he passed out, and also claims that officers planted a baggie of cocaine on him and left him in his cell without medical attention. Judge Vonda Evans had some choice words for Melendez while handing out his punishment…so much so that her speech went on for 20 minutes.
