Cam Newton Grows Weary Of Talking About Being A Black Quarterback
Sick & Tired: Cam Newton Seems Exhausted Talking About #Quarterblacks “It’s An Issue For YOU” [Video]
Cam Newton Grows Weary Of Talking About Being A Black Quarterback
It’s Super Bowl week here in America and it seems that a great deal of the national conversation is centered around quarterback Cam Newton and his blackity-blackness.
Everyday, the media is peppering Carolina’s finest dabber with a barrage of semi-confrontational questions about what it means to have a black quarterback in the Super Bowl.
Suffice to say, he seems VERY tired of the media’s fascination with the topic.
Interestingly enough, Russell Wilson has competed in the 2 of the last 3 Super Bowls and we can’t recall anyone caring what HE thought about being a black quarterback.
It’s almost as if the largely white media either wants Cam to be the representative for all black athletes everywhere, or goad him into saying something “controversial”. SMH.
