… [One] company in the U.K. is actually starting a “period policy” that will allow womenfolk to take time off when necessary for their period, and they’re hoping it takes the stigma out of using sick days to deal with period pains. “I have managed many female members of staff over the years and I have seen women at work who are bent over double because of the pain caused by their periods,” said Bex Baxter in a chat with U.K.’s The Guardian. Baxter is the director of Coexist, the company enacting the policy this month. “Despite this, they feel they cannot go home because they do not class themselves as unwell. And this is unfair. Grow Trees, Not Graves: Would You Want To Be Turned Into A Tree When You Die?
… [Instead] of being buried in a coffin, which is less environmentally friendly, your body is folded into a fetal position and placed in a pod. That pod is then used to fertilize a tree seedling. The video suggests that in the future, instead of visiting headstones, we’ll walk through forests. A tree, another living, breathing organism gives your loved ones something else to visit and touch and love. Plus, we all know that trees release oxygen into the air. So not only would you providing some sense of comfort to your loved ones, your choice to become a tree could be improving an entire community. New Kendrick Lamar Project Untitled Unmastered Drops Shortly
Maybe we should be thanking LeBron James. As King James requested, a new Kendrick Lamar project titled untitled unmastered. is set to drop tonight (March 3)/early tomorrow morning. The new album appeared on Spotify, though it is not yet streamable. It clocks in at just eight tracks and as for titles, we get dates that we assume signify when each track was recorded. This surprised release comes after TDE’s CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith revealed the label’s release plans for 2016. Needless to say, the Hip-Hop Internets is excited.
