Judge Orders Young Joc To Pay For Bling
An old jewelry debt is coming back to haunt Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Yung Joc.
The rapper and reality star has been hit with an $80,000 judgment for not responding to a jewelry store’s lawsuit for a pricey diamond bracelet and ring Joc copped but never paid for.
A judge in Fulton County, Ga. Superior Court Feb. 25 issued the default judgment against Joc, real name Jasiel Robinson, for $72,819 plus 12 percent interest and $7,082 in the jewelry company’s lawyer’s fees.
Aydin & Company sued Joc last year for breach of contract after they said he broke their 2009 agreement to pay $17,500 plus interest for a 24-carat diamond bracelet and a men’s diamond ring.
The company said Joc got the ice, but stiffed them, and despite the jeweler’s demands, has refused to pay up or respond to the lawsuit.
Joc would’ve fared better if he’d had just paid up in the first place, because the debt grew from interest at a rate two percent a month to nearly $80,000.
