Rihanna, Erykah Badu Not Please With Hillary Clinton’s Appearance At ‘Black Girls Rock!’

If you thought Black Girls Rock! was too sacred of a place for presidential candidates to drum up some black votes, guess again. That’s exactly what ya girl Hillary Clinton did when the made a surprise appearance at the annual award show Friday night.

Hillary popped up and spoke about the needs of black children while also shouting out Maya Angelou and other noteworthy black women.

The Democratic presidential candidate earned cheers when she called black women “change makers and pathmakers and ground shakers.”

“There are still a lot of barriers holding back African Americans and black women in particular, so a gathering like this filled with so many powerful, strong women is a rebuke to every single one of those barriers,” Clinton said. “All of our kids, no matter what zip code they live in, deserve a good teacher and a good school, a safe community and clean water to drink.”

Clinton spoke before introducing Beverly Bond, who founded Black Girls Rock! in 2006.

She said her life has been changed by strong black women leaders, including Marian Wright Edelman, the president and founder of the Children’s Defense Fund, the late poet and author Maya Angelou and the late civil rights activist Dorothy Height.

Not impressed by her speech was Rihanna and Erykah Badu. According Bloomberg Politics correspondent Jennifer Epstein, the opinionated queens were not feeling Hillary’s campaigning. At All.

Do you think it was wrong for Black Girls Rock! to allow Hillary ‘All Lives Matter’ Clinton to campaign at the show or nah?
