University Of Texas Student’s Body Found In Creek, Homeless Man Suspected Of Murder

There are some sick and disturbed people in the world as the NYDailyNews is reporting..

University of Texas student Haruka Weiser was sexually assaulted and strangled two days before a campus cop discovered her body in an Austin creek, according to a local report.

The 18-year-old’s suspected killer, Meechaeiel Khalil Criner, may have sexually assaulted the Portland, Ore., native shortly after she left dance class the night of April 3, the Austin-Statesman reported, citing law enforcement sources.

An autopsy on Weiser’s body has not concluded a cause of death, although investigators initially said there were “obvious signs of trauma.” An affidavit filed after Criner’s arrest failed to elaborate further.

A campus police officer found the missing woman’s body while combing the school’s shallow creek masked by trees near the football stadium.

Surveillance footage captured both Weiser leaving her class and a 17-year-old suspect stalking the woman. The same suspect emerged on video about two hours after Weiser’s last sighting carrying the victim’s duffel bag and limping from an unexplained injury.

A forensics team analyzing a DNA sample collected from the victim’s body will use it in an attempt to link Criner to Weiser’s death and other unsolved crimes committed throughout Texas, the Statesman reported.

Firefighters found Criner, who is homeless, a day after Weiser’s disappearance torching what appeared to be her belongings in an abandoned building.

Burning the victim’s belongings? Looks like this homeless guy will finally have somewhere to live for a lonnnng time.
