Chad Johnson saves home from foreclosure

Last December, the homeowners association filed a motion for default judgment because Chad blew off the case for several months despite being served with the legal papers.

They pled with the judge to grant them their motion for the default judgment and allow them to kick Chad out of his home and sell it off at auction ASAP. The judge set a hearing for March.

The hearing took place on March 2nd in Broward County Court. The judge would have heard Chad’s argument … if he had bothered to show up to the hearing. However, the ex-NFL star was a no-show and the judge granted the motion for default judgment and closed the case.

The Florida home was scheduled to be auctioned on April 15 at 10am.

However, the former NFL star coughed up the debt, which ballooned to more than $11,000, a mere two days before he was about to lose his home. The Homeowners Association headed to court and filed docs explaining they are canceling the foreclosure sale and Chad has paid all his debt to them.
