MAC Cosmetics Defends Their Obviously Offensive Summer Collection

Despite being known for the company motto, “All Ages, All Sexes, All Races” the popular cosmetics brand MAC has officially pissed off their cult following. The company recently released a summer collection called Vibe Tribe that was supposed to be inspired by art and music. When the internet got wind of the promotional visuals and packaging they were not having it. Take a look for yourself.

As MAC fans called the collection offensive and sterotypical toward Native Americans, the company came to defend the collection by releasing this statement:

“The collection including the visuals, product lineup, and naming is inspired by art, outdoor music festivals and colors of the desert.”

Righhhht? So, this is how everyone dresses at music festivals? And products named Arrow Head and Call Of The Canyon “has absolutely no connection to nor was it inspired by Native American cultures.”  Really MAC? Leave it up to white folk to strip the culture and not even recognize them for it.

Cultural appropriation at it’s finest? What do you guys think…
