Lawyer Who Went After Drunk Drivers Arrested For DUI
A personal injury lawyer from Florida who aggressively went after drink drivers, was arrested on Mother’s Day on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Escambia County Jail records show 49-year-old David J. Maloney was arrested on Sunday morning around 3.35 a.m. after a deputy observed his Lamborghini speeding in a 35 mile per hour zone at around 2 a.m.
‘During the traffic stop the deputy developed enough probable cause that David J. Maloney was driving under the influence. He was placed under arrest and booked in the Escambia County Jail,’ Holloway said.
Records show Maloney was released shortly before 10 a.m. on a $500 bond.
The arrest has an ironic twist as Maloney has made his business by aggressively pursuing drunk drivers.
On his website Maloney states: ‘When a person is injured in a drunk driving accident, the personal injury lawyers at Maloney-Frost, LLP take it personally.
