Woman Finds Sister After Searching For 65 Years
Lucille “Venus” Love, 72, of Buckeye met her sister for the first time Wednesday.
She had only met her father once, when she was 7 years old but hadn’t seen him since and didn’t know anything about that side of her family. She spent most of her life searching for family. Until now.
After 65 years of searching, Love went on ancestry.com. That’s when she found out she has a sister, 52-year-old Joanne Nelson of Chicago.
Nelson flew into Sky Harbor Wednesday morning to meet Venus, and they have been side-by-side ever since.
“I am really happy,” Love said. “Now my life is complete.”
