Search crews located the wreckage of a missing EgyptAir passenger jet Thursday as officials said terrorists may have brought down the doomed plane.

Greek investigators spotted debris from the plane — including two life jackets — floating in the Mediterranean Sea about 50 miles from where Flight MS804 vanished from radar early Thursday.

The wreckage was discovered roughly 17 hours after the plane carrying 66 people swerved wildly and vanished from radar about 175 miles off the Egyptian coast, the airline said.

U.S. officials told CNN they suspect that a bomb took down the plane. Investigators in Egypt and Greece have not confirmed that theory.

Maybe just stay away from EgyptAir for a while…

Yesterday it was reported that an EgyptAir flight MS804 carrying 66 people had gone missing. Today, the NYDailyNews confirms that the flight has indeed crashed…

François Hollande confirmed that the passenger plane carrying 66 people went down over the Mediterranean Sea, but he did not comment on what caused the disaster.

No hypothesis is being ruled out, he said.

Flight MS804 — carrying mostly French and Egyptian nationals and flown by an AirEgypt captain with 6,000 flying hours — made a series of abrupt turns before it disappeared from radar, the Greek defense minister Panos Kammenos said.

It was over water, about 175 miles off the African coast, and had just entered Egyptian airspace when it made a 90-degree turn to the left, descended briefly and then went missing, he said.

None of the passengers or crew have been declared dead, and the Egyptians, Greeks and French are all helping to locate the downed aircraft.
