Future, Big Sean, Young Thug, DJ Khaled And More Set To Perform June 5

Rap fans will be in hip hop heaven next month at Hot 97’s Summer Jam, where more than a dozen major music acts will take the stage for a one night only show.

The NYC radio station’s annual concert draws a lineup of high profile hip hop acts, and this year is no different. Future, Big Sean, Bryson Tiller, Pusha T and G.O.O.D Music, the newly reformed Terror Squad, Young Thug, Desiigner and Travis Scott are among the performers at this year’s Summer Jam June 5 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. More than 50,000 fans are expected to attend.

“This is a one of a kind concert,” Hot 97’s Ebro, host of “Ebro in the Morning with Laura Stylez and Rosenberg,” told BOSSIP. “Most concerts around the country of this size are not just dedicated to this music genre and this culture. So it’s a special thing we’ve been able to (do), with the help of the ticket buyer and the listener, maintain this for over 20 years.”

“It’s something that should be cherished,” Ebro added, “because it helps artists and the music get to the masses and maintain its relevance.”

Laura Stylez said she was excited to see DJ Khaled perform, while Rosenberg said he’s looking forward to seeing the reformed Terror Squad – Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Tony Sunshine, Cuban Link and Triple Seis – take the stage.

“I think Joe is enjoying such a moment right now,” he said. “I really expect him to go fully beast mode.”

Summer Jam is known for artists bringing out other artists on stage during their sets. Jay-Z famously brought out Michael Jackson 15 years ago. Laura Stylez stayed mum on the potential surprise guests this year, but promised they’d deliver.

“We can’t give you all that!” she said. “It’s the surprise of the surprise of the surprise. Every year it keeps getting better. We don’t even know all the special guests who are coming Ebro wont tell us.”
