U.S. Coast Guard Seized $214 Million Worth Of Cocaine
Despite the hot azz weather, Miami has long been known as the land of skiing. Films like “Cocaine Cowboys” have mythologized the southern Florida party city as a place full of fresh white powder.
According to WSVN, the U.S. Coast Guard has confiscated about 8 tons of the aforementioned white stuff…
The United States Coast Guard has offloaded eight tons of seized cocaine from the Coast Guard Cutter Bernard C. Webber to Coast Guard Base Miami Beach, Monday.
The drugs were seized in the international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean drug transit zone, off the coast of Central and South America, between early April and late May, according to USCG.
The Coast Guard said numerous U.S. agencies were involved in the counter-drug operations, including the Departments of Defense, Justice and Homeland Security, Navy, Customs and Border Protection, FBI, Drug Enforcement Agency and Immigration and Customs and Enforcement, along with allied and international partner agencies.
The estimated value of the drugs is worth $214 million.
Someone is in BIG trouble for gettin’ caught with all this weight, and we’re not talkin’ about trouble with the law either…
