In a new interview, the co-writer of Beyonce’s Lemonade track “Love Drought” — Houston rapper Ingrid Burley — said the song is not a diss track on Jay Z, but actually a slam on her label, the star’s Parkwood Entertainment. In the sit-down with Genius, Burley claims that even Beyonce wasn’t aware that the song — which features such salacious lyrics as “ten times out of nine, I know you’re lying / But nine times out of ten, I know you’re trying” — was spurred by her frustration with the label two years ago when the 29-year-old rapper and childhood Bey neighbor was new to the game.
